Ryman, the UK’s leading office and stationery supplier, is going the extra mile to help
Manchester’s young people this new school year by making a £5000 donation of back to
school stationery to HideOut Youth Zone, a charity that works to provide young people with
the opportunity to discover their passion and purpose through engaging activities and
projects.
The back to school stationery donation provided by Ryman equates to £5000, giving these
young people the equipment they need to succeed heading into the new school year.
Approximately 40% of children in Manchester are living below the poverty line, with some
areas surrounding HideOut Youth Zone as high as 60%.
The stationery donation from Ryman, in addition to continued fundraising efforts, aims to bridge this gap and support HideOut Youth Zone and their work.
Theo Paphitis, Ryman Chairman said: “I am delighted that Ryman has been able to assist
HideOut Youth Zone in getting local Gorton students back to school with all the right kit,
especially at a time when hard-working families are particularly feeling the pinch. Ryman is
ideally placed to help give students a fantastic start to the year, and we are proud to be able
to support.”
Lara Partridge, Director of Fundraising and Communications said: We are grateful to
Theo Paphitis Retail Group (TPRG) for providing HideOut Youth Zone with over 200
stationery kits in time for the new school year. The TPRG team even left personalised notes
of strength and encouragement inside each kit which was an incredibly kind and thoughtful
touch.
“For many young people and their families, the new school year can be an expensive and
daunting time, but with this generous donation from TPRG, our members can start the year
off right: prepared and ready to go with the confidence they can achieve.”
